Synopsis
ALIVE & KICKING is a film about two very dissimilar people who are most unlikely to ever fall in love. But, as the old saying goes, opposites attract.
Tonio and Jack meet at a disco where both are blowing off steam. Tonio is a dancer in a prestigious ballet company; Jack is a therapist specializing in patients with HIV/AIDS. Tonio is tall, beautiful, athletic, vain and kind of a pain in the ass; Jack is shorter, heavier, older, slightly balding, smart, sexy and a real pain in the ass.
The core of ALIVE & KICKING is the development of a powerful love between Tonio and Jack that bonds them together as much as their insecurities and individual passions threaten to keep them apart. But the film also offers an insider's view of the dancer's world, a world in which art can have profound meaning, especially for those who create it.

Personal review

This is a great movie. One of my favorites. I love how difficult the character Tonio is but at the same time your pulling for him, wanting him to allow himself to love. I highly recommend it.
