Travis' budding career is quickly gaining momentum as he prepares for the biggest fight of his life. Cock and Bull Story, the tale of childhood friends Travis, an up-and-coming boxer, and the excitable Jacko, hinges on homophobia. Rumors swirl that Travis and Jacko are more than friends, inflaming Jacko, who eventually lashes out with sexual, panic-fueled rage.
Director Billy Hayes admits that in the age of Will and Grace, Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, and Queer as Folk, Cock and Bull Story might strike some as "a bit of a throwback." But he is adamant that the points the film makes are as contemporary today as when he first directed the play in 1992.
"People still get beat up for their sexuality and people get killed for their sexuality", he maintains.

A diamond in the rough. Very powerfull insight in gaybashing and hatecrime in urban lower class society. It also shows the selfhatred that usually goes with it.
The endscene is very long but extremely powerfull. I won't give away the ending but you have to see it. It is both shocking and emotional. A definite thumbs up!
