Back to top Synopsis

It is not a regular day for Christoph Schwenk (played by Christoph M. Ohrt), Hauptkommissar of the Frankfurter police, when he after a succesful day at work comes home to his fiancee and finds her with another man. In very little time Christoph loses his fiancee, his home, his car and almost all his stuff.

But it gets further, after a drunken night he wakes up in bed in the arms of another man. Christoph can't remember what happened that night and how he got there.

But his new friend Edgar Sänger (played by Tim Bergmann) makes a good impression. Since he doesn't know where to go to he moves into the guestroom of Edgar even though Edgar is gay, fixes up stolen cars and is head over heels in love with Christoph.

When it goes downhill personally you can always rely on sure things in your work, thinks Christoph when he and his partner Mike (played by Oliver Stokowski) are confronted with their new colleague Helen (played by Carin C. Tietze). She is a confident, intelligent woman who has an interest in Christoph.

Their stake-out place, in which they focus on a gang of carthieves, is not exactly the place to have an intimate atmosphere. It is just a matter of time before Christophs colleagues find out about his new living arrangement with Edgar and the case against Edgar for grand theft auto doesn't lighten up things either.

When then Edgar's mother Iris shows up things get a little crowded in the appartement. But it forces them to think about themselves. And Christoph, Helen, Edgar and Mike get remarkable revelations. Iris then says: "These days everything is possible, isn't it?"

Back to top Personal review

A nice movie with a suprise at the end. Although it is in German and most will have to see it with subtitles, it is well worth the effort.

Not just because of all the nudity openly displayed but more so because of the storyline, goodlooking cast and the great acting.
