Spanning the decadent era of the 80's, "JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH" is a sexy drama that chronicles the rise and fall of the legendary Chippendales nightclub. After a casting session for prospective male dancers, handsome Chad Patterson (played by Jonathan Aube) impresses nightclub owner Steve Banerjee (played by Shelley Malil) and becomes the club's host. After Banerjee hires choreographer Nick Denoia (played by Peter Nevargic), Chippendales becomes a sensation. However, success comes at a high price. Everyone involved becomes addicted to a dangerous cocktail of sex, drugs and money. When DeNoia produces a successful touring revue, using the Chippendales name, Banerjee plots to take him out of the picture.

Meanwhile, each of the Chippendales dancers faces his own fate. Chad falls prey to the seduction of beautiful women and loses the one girl he loves. Royce (played by Kevin Daley) succumbs to adultery, lands in jail and loses his family. Young Spencer's (played by Paul dark) obsession with sex eventually leads to a blind act of incest. And Clayton (played by J.P. Pitoc), in love with a wealthy, older woman, auditions on the casting couch for a chance at fame. In the end, lust and greed lead to murder and suicide, and no one is left unscathed. "Just Can't Get Enough" is an intriguing look at the excess of the 80's, exposing the shocking truth about Chippendales and the end of an era. |
When I first opened the package, saw the title, and looked at the cover, I assumed that it was a garden variety gay porno flick. I enjoyed the movie, but it is NOT a gay film. It's actually about the sordid birth and subsequent dirty dealings of the "Chippendales" male dancers. Although it has some shots that are pleasant to look at from a gay perspective. There is only one dick shot, and although it's not a bad looking dick, it's nothing special to see a straight man with shaved pubes and an average dick bearing himself to a female vice cop.
|
There is only one scene that has any gay content at all, and it involves a lame drag queen who is blowing one of the dancers, and is discovered to be a man when the dancer grabs the queens head and her wig comes off. The dancer, aghast at the fact that he's being sucked off by a man, is in a quandry as he decides whether to kick the queens ass, or let her finish getting him off. DUH! Guess which choice he makes. :-) Disappointingly, we never get to see the dick that's attached to that hott blonde dancer, nor do we share in his moment of final ecstacy as they cut to a different scene after he decides what to do about "Miss Thing." What makes this film most interesting is that it's based on a true story, and contains characters that are conceivably real. |
