Back to top Synopsis

The word TROLL has many definitions. A mythological creator or monster that lives under a bridge... But the word is also used to describe people who are not worthy of respect, unattractive, or repulsive.

Meet Louie Cappa, a chubby, stand up comedian who has accepted his life as a Troll. Moving back to Los Angeles, a frustrated Louie opens up to his old friends. The comic who is always jovial admits he is very unhappy, lonely and tired of lying about himself... Louie is gay.

The straight friends try to help their friend. Each guy thinks he has a way to make Louie happy. Maybe if Louie lost weight, or got laid or came out to the public or had a boyfriend - he would be happy.

The straight guys even drag Louie to a gay club hoping to find him Mr. Right instead the good-looking straight friends become the center of attention. The straight friends have no idea how an overweight gay guy is treated at some gay clubs.

Louie and his friends seem to be living in two different worlds. To Louie the Straight World is so simple: Boy meets Girl, Boy loses Girl, Boy Gets Girl Back. To the Straight friends the Gay World seems so simple: Just call up another gay guy and have sex.

Louie wonders: Can gay guys and straight guys really be friends? The journey Louie Cappa takes for dignity and self respect is a hard one filled with Comedy, Courage and Pain but with the help of his friends, Louie finally realizes he is not a Troll.

My life as a troll Boy meets girl, so simple ..... not really. He loves her, she loves him, but will his friendship with Louie hurt them? The clown laughs on the outside but .... how long can a comic keep the truth to himself Love comes in all sizes. How can I be gay when I don't even like Judy Garland? Sex isn't as black and white as everyone thinks. A late night walk in the park isn't always what it seems.
