Yes, spring has begun. And with the sunshine comes the desire for love and companionship. And that is just what the movie of the month Latter days is all about. Two totally opposite guys who can't help but fall in love with each other. It won lots of awards on the filmfestivals and now that it is out on DVD you should take a look. Definite must see.
What else is new? There have been 2 films added. Both heavy duty but well worth a look. One is about being gay in the gay subculture of Harlem, New York. And the other deals with the prejudice and hardship of prison in South Africa in 1725.
Some elite gays here say that the "gay battle" has been won in Holland. But it has definitely not been won worldwide. There are still lots of countries where being gay is a taboo, a sin, illegal and sometimes even punishable by death. Being gay is as natural as being straight. Be proud of who you are. And if you live in a country where you aren't respected at least know you're not alone. Thankfully there are lots of films with a gay theme with lovestories, drama, music, history, comedy and more to enjoy. Even if it is in secret.
